MRS. ANN ELLIS

Mrs. Ann Ellis died at her home in Moulton last Saturday and after services held in that city, the remains being brought to Keosauqua Monday and interred in Purdem [sic]. The body was taken to Hotel Russell and there the casket was opened and the loved face viewed for the last time by old-time friends.

Mrs. Ellis moved to this county in 1836 with the husband and located on Vernon Prairie where they resided for many years, later removing to this city where the husband died some two years ago.

NOTE: Maiden name of Gale, birthdate of 18 Jan 1830 & death date of 09 Feb 1912 contributed to this obit by Rich Lowe richlowe@web-iowa.com. Also note cemetery is Purdom which is located in Keosauqua.
