Louis Albright

Louis Henry Albright, 89, of Washington died April 19, 1990, at Washington Care Center.

He was born Sept. 19, 1900, in Davis County to Jessie F. and Sadie Adcock Albright. He married Lottie A. Doll on Feb. 4, 1920, in Bloomfield. She died in 1956. He married Mary Anders Snow on March 1, 1969.

He was a member of Open Bible Church, a farmer and had lived in Van Buren and Davis counties prior to moving to Washington, Iowa, in 1951. He was employed by the city of Washington for 11 years.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Murl and Jessie of Washington and Jerry of Wellman; two daughters, Mary Lou Stewart of Drakesville and Lela May Downing of Stockport; 28 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; three stepsons, Kenneth Snow of Keota, Lester Snow of Milledgeville, Ill., and Charles Snow of Washington; two stepdaughters, Melvina Fislar of Washington andd Juanita Smith of Maquoketa; 16 stepgrandchildren; and 21 stepgreatgrandchildren.

The service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Eden Funeral Home in Washington, the Rev. Jerald Swanberg officiating. Graveside services and burial will be in Taylor Cemetery near Drakesville at 1 p.m.
