John William Schultz

John William Schultz, 62, of Greentop, Mo., died at 3:35 a.m. Sunday, June 12, in the LaBelle Manor Care Center, LaBelle, Mo.

He was born Nov. 6, 1925, in Davis County, Mo., the son of Tom and Lila Schultz. He married Mary Lou Swearingen in May 1954. He was engaged in farming most of his life and was employed as a farm hand at the time of his death.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Rodney (Debra Ann) Thomas of Gorin; sisters Mrs. Glen (Beulah) Corwin of Baring, Mo., Mrs. Dale (Mary) Cole of Mt. Sterling, and Mrs. David (Betty) Cook of Fairfield; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two brothers, a great nephew and a brother-in-law.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Payne-Gerth Funeral Chapel in Memphis.

Burial will be in the Pulaska City Cemetery, Pulaska, Iowa.

Visitation will be after noon today at the Payne-Gerth Funeral Home and the family will meet with friends from 7-9 p.m.
