Dorothy Ward

MESA, Ariz. - Former Fairfielder Dorothy Ward, 59, Mesa, died Tuesday night Nov. 14, 1989. She had been diagnosed with an incurable pulmonary lung disease three years ago.

The service will be at 8 p.m. Friday at Bunker Funeral Home in Mesa. Cremation is planned.

She was born Nov. 15, 1929, to Arden and Mary Wingate of West Frankfurt, Ill. She and her husband Tom had lived in Fairfield until moving to Arizona in 1974. Mrs. Ward had operated Dorothy's Wig and Beauty Salon in Fairfield and helped her husband in operation of the Paintin' Place.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ward is survived by a son Jeffrey of Mesa; a daughter Wendy Sticklin of Mayfield, Ky.; four grandchildren and four brothers, Ray Wingate of Ottumwa, Don Wingate of Libertyville and Phil and Tony Wingate of rural Van Buren County.
