E. Vester Chance

KEOSAUQUA - E. Vester Chance, 53, of Mount Pleasant died Dec. 10, 1989, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

He was born March 17, 1936, in Burlington to Everett V. and Lucia Chance. He married Phyllis M. Fiandalo Wilson on Dec. 2, 1978.

He was a graduate of Parsons College in Fairfield and taught at Fairfield and Bayard for 18 years. He had owned and lived in the Pearson House in Keosauqua He had worked at Pamida, Quik Break and Sirloin Stockade in Mount Pleasant and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Mount Pleasant.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Timothy at home; a stepson, Michael Wilson; four stepdaughters, Bernadette Ricke of Vincent, Angela Chapman of Des Moines, Kathy Scheuermann of Bagley and Mariann Wilson at home; his mother of Winfield; and a sister, Virginia Bushcer of Cedar Rapids.

The service was Dec. 13 at First Presbyterian Church in Mount Pleasant, the Rev. Larry Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Forest Home Cemetery.
