SUICIDE NEAR UPTON

James Abernathy, age about 45, who resided with his sister, Mrs. Reck, at Upton, in the south part of Des Moines township, committed suicide by shooting Wednesday afternoon. He had suffered much from ill health in recent years and was at times very despondent.

The deceased is survived by a wife, but left no children.
