Mary Jane (Fox) Jack 1825-1908

Mary Jane Fox was born October 3, 1826, near McConnelsville, Morgan co. Ohio. She died at Bentonsport, Iowa June 29, 1908, having lived nearly eighty-two years.

She was one of a family of three children. A sister, Marla Hill of Ohio survives her.

She was married to Wm. Jack Dec. 25, 1854. To this union three sons were born: Wm. Franklin, Prentice Burdette and George Washington. The second son is the only surviving member of the family.

The family came to Iowa about 25 years ago and bought a home in Oakland where they have since resided. Funeral services were held at the home of John Seward June 30, Rev. Tranerry of Bonaparte officiating. Interrment was made in the Bentonsport cemetery.
