Mary L. McCutchen
Mary L. McCutchen, one of six children in her father's family, was born near Bentonsport, Van Buren Co., Iowa, April 17th, 1859, and departed this life at Allen, Nebraska, Oct. 14, 1910, at the age 51 years, 5 months and 27 days. She was married Nov. 8th, 1882, to Albert I. Tussey [sic] with whom she shortly removed to Nebraska where they have since resided.
In the course of years 5 children were born to them, one dying in infancy. The others are Robert, Mrs. R. Hiliker, Katie and Curtis.
Mrs. Tusser [sic] joined the Seventh Day Adventist Church many years ago and has tried according to her light, to live a consistent christian life. Through her illness she trusted in the Savior and when death came it found her ready to be released and only waiting for the summons.
Her fatal illness dates from four years ago when she had her first serious attack. Two years of comparative health intervened, then three months ago came the beginning of the end in a recurrence of painful suffering.
Her relatives except one sister, Mrs. Allan H. Heaton of Hillsboro, Ia were out of calling distance for the occasion but the sympathy of the entire community is with Mr. Tusser [sic] and his children in their bereavement. Services were conduted [sic] in the M. E. Church of Allen Sunday Oct. 16th at 2 P.M.
