OBITUARY OF ABNER BOSTON

Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1907, Abner Boston died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Burkett in Des Moines township, aged about 67. About all his life he resided in this county and for many years his home was on an 80-acre farm he owned in the northern part of Des Moines township, where he lived alone until enfeebled by sickness about six months previous to his death. He was never married and, we understand, leaves only distant relatives. He was a quiet and kind hearted man and a good citizen. He served during the war as a member of Co. G, Third Iowa Cavalry. His funeral was held Nov. 7, Rev. Charles E. Perkins of Keosauqua in charge of the services. The burial was in the cemetery near his home and was under the direction of the G.A. R, of which order he was a member.
