AXEL T. STRIDE

Axel T. Stride, 86, died at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 27, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua. He lived near Stockport for 32 years and was a retired farmer.

He was born Dec. 5, 1880, in Sweden, to Carl and Hadda Stride. He married Idella L. Bell on May 15, 1915. She preceded him in death on June 16, 1962.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Waddell of Davenport and Mrs. Charles Heisel of Stockport; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, on Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. James W. Dendler officiating. Burial will be in Glasgow Cemetery.
