MRS. CLIFFORD SWEARINGEN

Mrs. Clifford R. (Garnet) Swearingen, 61, of Farmington, died Wednesday, April 5, at 5:30 p.m. in St. Joseph hospital, Keokuk, where she had been a patient for one day.

The daughter of Jefferson and Anna Bufinger Hayden, she was born Aug. 20, 1905 in Keokuk. On April 20, 1933 in Keokuk she married Clifford Swearingen.

She moved from Keokuk to Shreveport, La. in 1950 and then to Farmington in 1965.

She was a member of St. Boniface Roman Catholic church in Farmington and the Altar and Rosary society.

Surviving are her husband, a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Arnold of Keokuk; three brothers, Albert, Joseph and Kenneth Hayden of Keokuk and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in deathdby a sister in infancy.

The Rosary was recited Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the Greaves Mortuary, Keokuk. Funeral service was held Saturday at 9 a.m. in St. Peter's church, Keokuk, with burial in the Buena Vista Mound cemetery.
