Mrs. Daisy Sample

Daisy A. Sample, daughter of Ruben and Martha Holmes Sherrick, was born Aug. 29, 1877, and departed this life Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1964 at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital at Keosauqua at the age of 86.

She was married to Arthur F. Sample, and they spent their life in the Lebanon community. Mr. Sample preceded her in death in 1956. Mrs. Sample had been making her with Mrs. Naomi Price at Milton.

She was a member of the Lebanon Methodist Church.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Maude McWhirt, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. at the Lebanon Methodist Church, with the pastor, the Rev. G. Basil Tadlock officiating. Mrs. Hazen Beeler was the pianist. Bearers were Ralph Arnold, Wayne Hendricks, Raymond Rider and Stuart Thomas. Interment was in the Lebanon cemetery.
