Lester Mohr

Lester Mohr, 65, of Farmington, died Saturday, Oct. 28, at 10 P.M. in a hospital in Topeka, Kans. He had been ill 6 weeks.

He was born Mar. 9, 1902, at Etna, Mo., the son of Louis Peter and Mary Remling Mohr.

On Dec. 24, 1930 at Gorin, Mo., he married Dorinne Palmer and she survives.

He was employed by the railroad shops as a machinist.

Mr. Mohr was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors are his wife, 3 sons, the Rev. Eugene Mohr of Marshalltown, the Rev. Stanley Mohr of Urbandale, and Lyle Mohr at home; 2 brothers, Paul Mohr, of Donnellson, Walden Mohr, Carthage, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Luella King of West Des Moines and Mrs. Ada Glisan of Carthage, Ill., and 3 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, a brother and a sister.

The funeral service was held Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 2 P.M., in the Baptist church, Farmington, with the Rev. Ronald Cochran and the Rev. Gordon Shipp of Eldora officiating. Burial was in Green glade cemetery.
