Albert J. Moore

Albert J. Moore, 85, died Wednesday, Jan. 3 at 3:50 a.m. in Van Buren county Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua.

He was the son of Randolph and Eleanor John Moore, born Aug. 30, 1882, near Selma. On Nov. 23, 1902, he married Lillian Mabel Warner, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Gilette of Fort Madison and Mrs. Josephine Winsell of Green Mountain Falls, Colo.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Baird of Cantril and Mrs. Grace Kamp of California.

He was a farmer most of his life and a member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star at Cantril and the Methodist Church where the service was held at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Herbert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery. Wellborn Funeral Home, Milton, was in charge of arrangements.
