Mrs. Lewis Magorian

Mrs. Lewis Magorian, 74, died Sunday, Jan. 12 at 2 a.m. at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua. She had been a patient one week but had been an invalid for many years.

The daughter of Joe and Anna Davis, she was born Jan. 26, 1889, at Leadville, Colo. On June 19, 1907, Nellie Davis married Lewis Magorian at the parsonage at the Christian church at Cantril. The couple lived most of their life in that community.

Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Mrs. James Hickerson of Redwood City, Calif. and Mrs. Albert Smith of Ottumwa; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Susie Carr, Hot Springs, S.C. and Mrs. Lester Roberts of Des Moines.

Services were held Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Cantril Christian Church with Herbert C. Shaw, minister, officiating. Mrs. H.C. Shaw was the organist. Burial was in Maple Grove cemetery.
