Delbert Henkle

Delbert A. Henkle, 77, of rural Farmington, died Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 5:25 a.m. at Sacred Heart hospital, Ft. Madison.

He was born May 20, 1890, in Donnellson, the son of Albert and Elizabeth Seward Henkle. He married Pansy McPherson Feb. 25, 1914, near Croton. He was a farmer near Embury and was a member of the Embury Methodist church.

Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Manford Therme, of Ft. Madison; a son, Albert of Washington, D.C.; one grandchild and two great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Miller's Home for Funerals, Donnellson. Rev. J. Everett McClellan will officiate. Burial will be in Embury cemetery.
