DALE L. HOLSAPPLE

Dale Lemuel Holsapple, 73, prominent Milton farmer died at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield at 10:37 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Dale L. Holsapple was born November 3, 1894 at Campbellsburg, Ind., the son of Robert and Cora Gould Holsapple. He was united in marriage on Nov. 29, 1930 to Mary E. Pifer at Mattoon, Ill.

They moved to a farm east of Milton in 1951, where he was actively engaged in farming. They left the farm and moved into Milton in December, 1967.

He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, three sisters and one brother.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; six sons, Guy and Lee of Macon, Ill., Duane of Wheaton, Ill., Ivan of Ft. Madison, Arthur and Bob of Milton; one daughter, Mrs. Velma Schewmaker of Decatur, Ill.; one sister, Hazel Perdiew of Campbellsburg, Ind.; two brothers, Claude of Orleans, Ind. and Dan of Campbellsburg, Ind. and 19 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 21,at 1 p.m. at the Milton Christian Church with the Rev. Jeffrey Berkley of Palmyra, Ill., former pastor at Cantril, officiating, assisted by Rev. James McKean of Milton. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery.
