MARY JANE HOLMES

Mary Jane Holmes, 75, Bonaparte, died Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 1:20 a.m. at Hainline Rest Home, Bonaparte.

She was born Sept. 10, 1892, in Bonaparte, the daughter of Thomas and Corabelle Spurgeon Gibbs. She married Clarence Holmes, in June, 1912. He died in 1964. She was affiliated with the Nazarene church in Farmington.

Surviving are seven daughters, Mr. Elsie Cramblit, Mrs. Kathryn Clavin, Mrs. Lucille Bailey and Mrs. Alice Brockett, of Ft. Madison, Mrs. Helen Koetters of Ft. Collins, Colo., Mrs. Ethel Britton of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mrs. Margie West of Kansas City, Kans.; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Parker of Bonaparte and Mrs. Sadie Hudson of Aledo, Ill.; a brother, Sam; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the Church of the Nazarene, Ft. Madison with burial in Oakland cemetery. The funeral was in charge of the Miller Home for Funerals, Donnellson.
