Mrs. Clara Hite

Mrs. Clara Hite, 86, of Farmington, died Tuesday, June 4, at 11 p.m. in Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, after a lengthy illness. She was seriously ill three weeks.

She was born Aug. 30, 1881 at Stockport, the daughter of John and Sara Trinham DeHart.

Her marriage to Albert Hite took place on Jan. 29, 1905. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Nazarene church. Mrs. Hite was a resident of Croton and Farmington area most of her life.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond Hit of Kahoka, Mo. and Kenneth Hite of Farmington; two daughters, Mrs. Merle (Mabel) Smith of Farmington and Mrs. Harold (Goldie) Boyer of Pontiac, Mich.; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The funeral service was held Saturday, June 8 at 1:30 P.M. at Miller's Home for Funerals at Farmington with the Rev. C.C. Swalwell officiating. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery.
