HARRY HATHAWAY

Harry Hathaway, 56, of Bonaparte, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 4:30 a.m. in Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, where he had been a patient 4 days.

He was born April 5, 1911 at Chester, Ill., the son of Arthur and Annie Shingleton Hathaway. He spent his childhood at Chester, Ill.

His marriage to Sidney Farmer at Chester, Ill., took place in 1935. She preceded him in death.

He was formerly employed by the railroad and was a laborer at a stave company. He was a former resident of Little Rock, Ark. and Chester, Ill. He was a member of the Pentecostal church. He was a veteran of W.W. II.

He is survived by a step-daughter, Mrs. Dean Hoffman of Bonaparte, a brother of St. Louis, Mo., 2 sisters in Chester, Ill.

He was precedeed(sp) in death by his parents, wife, and 1 brother.

The funeral service and burial was held in Chester, Ill.
