E.T. Brothers, Keosauqua Druggist Dies Monday

E.T. (Ed) Brothers, 55, of Keosauqua died about 6:40 p.m. Monday in the University Hospital at Iowa City. He had been a patient there for more than 14 weeks and had undergone surgery twice.

He was the son of John and Katherine Whalen Brothers, born at Georgetown, Iowa, May 17, 1913.

Mr. Brothers was a graduate of the School of Pharmacy at Drake University. On December 17, 1942 he was married to Pauline Peden, she survives.

Mr. Brothers purchased the Strickling Drug Store at Keosauqua about 18 years ago and has operated the store since that time.

He is survived by his wife Pauline, two daughters Carol and Patricia and one son John all at home, Two brothers William and Frank, Ottumwa, two sisters Mrs. Frank Godec, Wauwatosa, Wisc. and Mrs. J.C. Martin, Minneapolis, Minn.

Funeral service will be held Friday 10 a.m. at the St. Mary's church in Fairfield, burial will be in the Fellows cemetery at Keosauqua. The Wake will be held Thursday at 8 p.m. at Catcott Funeral Home.
