MRS EARL BRIER

Mrs. Earl Brier, 58, died Tuesday, April 25 at 4:30 p.m. at her home in Birmingham. She had been seriously ill with cancer for the past four months.

Mrs. Brier, the former Ellene Bailey, was born June 20, 1908, at Birmingham. She was the daughter of Charles and Mary Hendricks Bailey. She was married to Earl H. Brier June 7, 1932.

Mrs. Brier was a member of the Presbyterian church. She graduated from Birmingham high school in 1925 and attended Fletcher College.

She is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. Mary Bailey, Montrose, and the following sisters and brother, Mr. Grace Glassford, Keokuk; Mrs. Susie Cecconi, Ottumwa; Mrs. Mary Burnes, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Eva Rupe, Montrose; Mrs. Margaret Heminger, Wood River, Nebr.; Mrs. Patricia Cook, Norwalk, and Dwight Bailey, Lynnville.

Her father and two brothers are deceased.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 28 at 1 p.m. at the Birmingham Presbyterian church followed by cremation. Services were in charge of the Burch Funeral Home Birmingham.
