BERT BRISTOW

Bert Bristow, born December 24, 1889, passed away Tuesday, April 22, at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, where he had been a patient since March 30.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Bristow and had been a resident of Van Buren and Davis Counties all of his life. He was a graduate of Southern Iowa Normal at Bloomfield, and had been a Mason and a member of the American Legion both for 50 years.

He is survived by two sister, Miss Alice Bristow and Mrs. Edith Skelton of Milton, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 25 at 2 p.m. at the Wellborn Funeral Home in Milton with Rev. Herbert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery.

Relatives attending the service were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Burns of Baldwin, Iowa, Glen Hyde, Mrs. Nora Burns and Mrs. Esther Mustoe of Memphis, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hyde of Pulaski, Mrs. Lowell Scott of Cantril, Robert Skelton of Springfield, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Canfield, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Skelton and Mrs. Hazel Baird of Milton.
