Cora Orinda Loges

Cora Orinda Loges, daughter of Warren and Mary Surrena Dresser, was born on a farm southwest of Donnellson in Van Buren township on March 12, 1885, and passed away on Friday evening, March 11, 1949, one day before her 64th birthday.

She was united in marriage at her parent home to Edward Loges on April 27, 1904 and they moved to a farm in Charleston township where she lived the rest of her life.

To this union were born five children, two daughters, Wilma and Nina, and three sons, Albert, Glen and Hubert.

She was a member of the Embury Methodist church and of the Embury WSCS and had always been active in church work.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, one son, Albert of Argyle; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Slaughter of Farmington, and Miss Nina Loges at home; two granddaughters, Marilyn and Karen Loges; two sisters, Florence and Fannie Dresser; and three brothers, Elmer, Merle and Roy Dresser, all of Donnellson.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Embury Methodist church at 2 o'clock, in charge of the Rev. Alton H. Zischke. The body was laid to rest in the Embury cemetery.
