MRS. LEE DAUGHRITY

Mrs. Margaret Johnston Daughrity died Friday morning at the St. Joseph hospital in Keokuk. She had been ill for three weeks.

Mrs. Daughrity was born July 30, 1868, in Keosauqua. Before her marriage to John LeRoy Daughrity, Oct. 18, 1894, she served as a court reporter. The family had lived in Keokuk for many years where she was active in the Quid Libet society of the First Congregational church, the P.E.O., Garden club, King's Daughters and Scribblers' club.

Surviving are her husband, John LeRoy Daughrity, and a son, Harry C. Daughrity. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth LeRoy, who was head of the English department at the State Teachers' college, Cleveland, Miss.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Schmidt funeral home in Keokuk. Burial was in Purdom cemetery at Keosauqua.
