HARRY SCHLOTFELDT

Harry Schlotfeldt, 53, of Muscatine, a former custodian of Lacey-Keosauqua for several years, died in a hospital in Okaloosa Christmas day. He was one of nine persons injured in an auto collision in Oskaloosa the preceding Saturday. His wife, Ada, was hospitalized over Christmas, but the couple's four children were released after treatment.

The driver of the other car was James Love of Jackson, Nebr., who was on his way home for Christmas. Two sailors from Boone were hitch hiking with Love, and were hospitalized at Des Moines. Love was fined $25 for running a stop sign in connection with the accident.

The Schlotfeldt family was en route to visit her family for Christmas, Tuesday, the day of his death, was the couple's 32nd wedding anniversary.
