Mrs. Ira Adkins

Mrs. Ruth Menetta Adkins, 63, died Thursday, Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. in University Hospitals at Iowa City. She had been seriously ill since Wednesday morning.

The service was held Sunday, Feb. 4 in the Methodist Church, Farmington, with the Rev. Leroy Moore officiating. Burial was in Farmington Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 27, 1898, in Croton, the daughter of Charles D. and Ida May Weekly Gray. On Oct. 26, 1927, in Chicago, she married Ira Adkins, who survives. She also leaves her mother, Mrs. Ida Gray of Farmington; a son, Roger Adkins of Burlington; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Reid of Paxton, Ill., and Mrs. Leona Ufkes of Richland, Wash.; a brother, Arden Gray of Bonaparte, and six grandchildren. Two brothers preceded her in death.
