Zelda Jones

Zelda Jones, 74, of Keosauqua died Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 10:45 p.m. at a nursing home in Wilton Junction. She had been ill 15 months.

She was born at Columbus City, March 8, 1887, the daughter of Henry P. and Lydia Jefferies May. She moved in 1917 to Farmington and in 1943 to Keosauqua. She was married at Clinton, Oct. 29, 1913, to Harry Jones, who preceded her in death.

She was a Methodist and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are a son, Herbert Jones of Arlington Heights, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Harnagel of Farmington and Mrs. Esther Kelley of Wilton Junction; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. A daughter and a twin sister preceded her in death.

The funeral was held Friday, Dec. 1 at 2 p.m. at the Farmington Methodist Church. Rev. Leroy Moore officiated. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery at Farmington.
