Nellie I. Jack

Nellie Jack, daughter of Thomas and Florence Satterly Jack, was born June 18, 1892 at the family home near Farmington, Iowa and passed away in El Cajon, Calif. May 7, 1961 at the age of 68.

She lived at the family homestead in Lee County until 1931 when she moved to El Cajon to help care for her mother in her latter years. She will be remembered as being active in the Sharon Church, teaching a Sunday School class and playing the piano for many church services. She gave many children in her neighborhood their first instruction in the art of playing the piano.

After a period of time occupied with family cares, she again took up the teaching of piano at her home in El Cajon, having about fifty students at the time of her passing.

She was an active member in the First Presbyterian Church of El Cajon.

Nellie Jack is survived by two brothers, Clayton L. Jack of Upland, Calif. and Ralph E. Jack of Spring Valley, California. Also, two nieces and three nephews and fourteen grand nieces and nephews. Two sisters and her parents preceded her in death.

Funeral services were conducted at the Paris Mortuary Chapel in El Cajon on May 10, 1961. Interment was made at Glen Abbey Cemetery in nearby Chula Vista, California.
