Mrs. Anna B. Nedrow

Anna Bell Manbeck Nedrow was born June 8, 1878, in Harrison county, Ohio. Her parents were John Manbeck and Jane Tedrow Manbeck. When she was three years old, he parents moved from Ohio to Van Buren county, Iowa, and she lived in this county the rest of her life.

At the age of 17, she received Christ as her Savior; she became a member of the Zion Lutheran Church which she attended faithfully, including the last Sunday before her passing. On Dec. 23, 1897, at the age of 19, she was united in marriage to Irvin Lee Nedrow.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Irvin, who passed away in January, 1931; one brother, Harvey Manbeck, and an infant son, Ralph. Surviving are two daughters, Ruth and Ruby, and one son, Lehr, all of Douds; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Zion Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Carr, pastor and Dr. E.A. Piper of Oxford Junction, former pastor. Vocalists were Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Bachmann, accompanied by Mrs. Kenneth Carr. Bearers were Keith A. Smith, Murl Smith, Raymond Johnson, Daniel Taube, Duane Gates, and Daniel Greenfield. Interment was in Zion Lutheran cemetery.
