Myrtle Heaton Page

Myrtle Heaton Page, 80, daughter of John and Martha Halfhill Heaton was born April 30, 1881 near Big Mound, Iowa, where she lived until the family moved to Allerton in the year 1900.

She taught school for several years and then in December 1905 was married to Burton Hughes. The lived at Allerton and then Clio until his death in 1945.

On June 17, 1952 she was married to John R. Page of Hillsboro, who survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James, who died when 2 years old.

She was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church, C.W.F. and the Bible Study Class.

She had been in failing health for several years and departed this life May 22, 1961 at Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at the Catcott Funeral Home May 24 at 10 A.M. with the Rev. Chester Werft in charge and again at the Christian Church at Clio, Iowa at 2 P.M. with burial in Clio cemetery.
