Fannie Watson

Fannie Alice Watson, 85, of Stockport, died Wednesday, April 4 at 11:05 a.m. at a nursing home in Keosauqua.

The daughter of David T. and Delphina Pickard Doane, she was born in Cottonwood, in Lee county, on July 20, 1876. She had lived her entire life in Stockport. On Feb. 28, 1900, she was married Lawrence E. Watson in Salem. He died in 1944. She was a member of the Friends church of Stockport.

Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Opal Alexander of Stockport and Mrs. Leola Clark of Rivera, Calif.; one grand niece and two grand nephews. Besides her husband, one sister is dead.

Services were held Saturday, April 7 at 2 p.m. at the Salem Friends Church with the Rev. Mrs. Alberta Spangler of Richland and assisited(sp) by the Rev. Roscoe Townsend of Salem church officiating.

Pallbears were Harry Hooper, Gene Clark, Virgil Watson, Jay Johnston, Gilbert Smith and Leo Johnson. Burial was in Salem South cemetery.
