REV. GEORGIA WALRAVEN

Mrs. Georgia Anna Walraven, daughter of Henry and Dora Hoops, was born June 30, 1893, in Knox county, Mo., and departed this life April 7, 1936, at the home of her parents in Des Moines, at the age of 43 years, 9 months and 7 days. She was united in marriage to Louie Walraven in the year 1911.

To this union one child was born Guy H. Walraven of Des Moines. She was converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal church in Jan. 1926, later was sanctified and united with the Nazarene church in Des Moines early in 1929.

From that time until she was called home she was actively engaged in the work either as evangelist or pastor, holding a pastorate at Redwood Falls, Minn., four years. For the past year she has been pastor of the Famington(sp) church of the Nazarene.

The height of her ambition was to finish the course of study and receive her ordination in the church. This she accomplished and was ordained at Cedar Rapids last August.

She leaves to mourn their loss her aged parents, one brother, Guy Hoops and family, her son, and his wife, all of Des Moines, with a host of friends and people of this church.

Her life seems to say to all who knew her, "To you from falling hands I throw the torch. Be yours to hold it high."
