Frank Heaton

Frank Heaton, 69, died Saturday, June 6 at his home in Bonaparte after an illness of two years.

He was the son of Aaron H. and Maria Sophia Huckman and was born March 20, 1890, at Big Mound. He had spent his life farming in this community. He was married December 31, 1913, at Big Mound to Hillie Stein, who survives. He was a member of the Christian church and was a Sunday school superintendent. He was a member of the board of directors of the Van Buren County Telephone Co. for several years.

Besides his wife he leaves three brothers, Paul of Bonaparte, Ralph of Donnellson and Herbert of Mt. Pleasant, and four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Plumer, Mrs. Alice Huff and Misses Anna and Clara Heaton, all of Hillsboro, and two grandchildren. A daughter, Frances Delpha Morrison, a brother, Mark, an infant brother and a sister Sophia Esther Heaton preceded him in death.

The service was held at the Sharon Presbyterian church, northeast of Bonaparte Tuesday, June 9 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Ellis Andrews officiated. Burial was in Sharon cemetery.
