Louise Wilhelmine Elizabeth, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Woltje, was born Jan. 12, 1851, near Farmington, Iowa.

She was baptised at Farmington, Iowa, July 13, 1853, and on April 9, 1865, she was confirmed at Farmington in the Evangelical faith.

She was united in marriage to Henry Buchholz Dec. 2, 1869, at Keosauqua, Iowa. To this union were born five children, Carrie, who died in infancy, Minnie, Chris and John at home, and Mrs. Henry Schau of Bonaparte, Iowa.

Mrs. Buchholz passed to the great beyond Thursday, April 5, 1928, being 77 years, 2 months and 24 days of age. She leaves to mourn their loss her husband, four children, one son-in-law, one grand daughter, one brother and three sisters, besides other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the home by her pastor, Rev. Wuebben of Franklin, Iowa, at 2 o'clock on Easter Sunday, April 8. Burial in Steinmeyer cemetery.
