CLAYTON MILLER.

BONAPARTE. - Funeral services for Clayton Miller, 73, of Chicago, formerly of Bonaparte were held in the Bonaparte Methodist church Sunday afternoon. The Rev. C.F. McMican, pastor officiated. Burial was in the White cemetery northeast of here. Masonic services were held at the grave, conducted by E.F. Rittman of Keokuk.

Mr. Miller was born two and one-half miles northeast of Bonaparte and grew to young manhood here. He attended the Bonaparte public school and was graduated from the Bonaparte high school in 1896. He went to Chicago shortly after his graduation and entered the mail service, where he worked about 50 years until he retired some time ago. He had advanced to the position of mail chief for a number of districts. He had recently sold his home in Chicago and had intended to return here to make his home.

He was preceded in death by his wife several years ago. He is survived by a son, Reese Miller, a daughter Mrs. Ray Irlbacker, and a grandson, all in Chicago, two brothers, Byron Miller of Bonaparte and Boyd Miller of Canada, and five sisters, Mrs. Leo Fuller of Des Moines and Mrs. S.G. Lindsay, Mrs. Frank Dawson, Mrs. Phillip Horstman and Miss Goldie Miller of Bonaparte.
