SERVICES HELD FOR LILA CECIL

Funeral services for Mrs. Lila Cecil were held Friday at the Methodist church at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Glen Parrott of the Methodist church. Mrs. Bruce Warner, vocalist, and Mrs. Alfred Johnson, pianist, furnished the music.

Burial was made in the North English cemetery. Pallbearers were Elmor Miller, Earl Wiggins, Geo. H. Smith, Virgil Fancher, Chas. Coxe, John Donahoe.

Hannah Delilah Thomas was born near North English, Iowa, on February 4, 1869, and passed away at her home on March 3, 1948, at the age of 88 years and 29 days.

She was the daughter of Joseph M. and Sarah Ann Thomas, and was married to John F. Lutton at Webster, Iowa,, on August 22, 1880.

Their home was established at White Pigeon, Iowa, where he was in business, later moving to North English.

To this union one son, Harry F., was born, who passed away at the age of six years.

Mr. Lutton passed away Feb. 12, 1926.

She later married Amos Cecil of Milton, Iowa, on July 15, 1935.

Most of her life was spent in North English and immediate vicinity.

She is survived by her husband, one sister, Mr. Clara Loiler of Osceola, Iowa; one brother, Edward Thomas of New Haven, Conn. and six nieces and three nephews.

She was a faithful and long time member of the M.E. Church and a regular attendant of church and Sunday School as long as health would permit.

She was a member of Eastern Star, Pythian Sisters, also a member of Rebekah Lodge for nearly 50 years.
