MRS. HAL C. REGUR

Mrs. Hal C. Regur, 69, of Keosauqua died Friday, March 29, about 9:45 p.m. at the Van Buren County Memorial hospital. She had sustained a stroke earlier in the week.

Lena Dell Regur was the daughter of William Bradford and Angeline Drennen Ellis and was born near Keosauqua on Dec. 6, 1893. She attended school in this area and graduated from Keosauqua high school. Following graduation, she studied Art in Lincoln, Nebr. She was an active substitute teacher in the Keosauqua Independent school.

She was married to Paul C. Daughrity, who preceded her in death on May 10, 1960. To this union two daughters were born, Pauline Janet and Josephine Virginia.

On Jan. 15, 1962, she was married to Hal C. Regur, who survives.

Mrs. Reguar was active in community work and was a member of the Congregational church; Chapter 1, P. E. O.; Lynds Chapter Order of Eastern Stars and a charter member of the Delphian Study club.

Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Norwood (Pauline) Teal of Keosauqua and Mrs. Charles (Josephine) Morris of Cantril; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Nora Barker of Douds and one brother, Charles Ellis of Keosauqua.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 1, at 2 p.m. in the Keosauqua Congregational church with R. M. Carpenter, pastor, officiating, assisted by Jack Armstrong, pastor of the Keosauqua Christian church. Burial was in Purdom cemetery.
