MRS. LOWELL GOVE

Nannie M. Hull, daughter of John and Laura Wollam Hull, was born at Cantril, Iowa December 16, 1898. She was united in marriage to Lowell Gove of Keosauqua, Iowa, December 8, 1820. To this union two daughters were born: Kathryn McCord of Elvins, Missouri, and Helen Blackburn of Keosauqua, Iowa. She departed this life on December 7, 1947 at Iowa City at the age of 48 years, 11 months and 21 days.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband and 2 daughters, four grandsons, Dickie and Gary McCord, Dickie Lee and Jimmie Blackburn; two brothers, William and Leo Hull of Cantril, Iowa; one foster sister, Mrs. Addie Barker of Wenatchee, Washington, and aunt, Mrs. Nan Hull of Cantril, Iowa. Her mother and father and one brother, Jesse, preceded her in death.

For many years she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and took a great interest in the work of that organization. She bore her afflictions with patience and during her suffering her thoughts were for the comfort of others. She will be greatly missed by her friends and neighbors in the community in which she spent her entire life.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. in the Keosauqua Methodist church with the Rev. E. Allen Magill officiating. Bearers were George Boss, Clarence P. Witt, Hazen Blackburn, Marvin Teal, William Carruthers and Ancel Parker, all neighbors. Music was by Keith Gaston accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Esther Arthmann. Burial was in Prudom cemetery at Keosauqua.
