CLYDE CAVITT

KEOSAUQUA. -- Clyde Cavitt, about 75, died Monday morning at Los Angeles, Calif.

He was born near Mount Sterling, the son of William and Mary Jane Wiley Cavitt and grew to manhood on the farm. He has been in California for a number of years and served on the police force in the Los Angeles area.

Survivors include the widow and three daughters.

(Photocopy of this obit is located on page 170 of Obit Book B found in the Van Buren County, IA Genealogical Society's collection at the Keosauqua Public Library in July 1999. Name of newspaper not given, however a handwritten date of Jan 1965 is written on the obit.)

ADD'L NOTES: Clyde Curtis Cavitt is buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery (California). California Deaths Records (Rootsweb database) states Clyde C. Cavitt born 30 Jun 1889 and died 25 January 1965. I would be interested in further details on this family.
