GEORGE W. HOGUE
KEOSAUQUA.--George W. Hogue, 76, who farmed near Bonaparte, died Thursday about 11 p.m. at Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua, where he had been a patient two months.
The son of Samuel C. and Frances Potter Hogue, he was born May 19, 1887, at Keosauqua. He was a lifelong resident of the rural Keosauqua and Bonaparte communities.
He was married Oct. 29, 1913, to Virginia Logan of Keosauqua, who preceded him in death in February, 1963.
Survivors include five sons, Paul of Geneseo, Ill.; Thaine of Cherokee, Richard of Oakfield, N. Y.; Glen of Iowa City and Harold of East Moline, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Clark and Mrs. Edna Logan, both of Keosauqua; a brother, Ralph of Eldon; and 20 grandchildren. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a son.
The body is at Burnett-Catcott Funeral Home.
