DIED: - At her home in Des Moines township, Van Buren county, Iowa, July 6, 1889, Mrs. Clara Belle Cochrun, aged 26 years, 10 months and 15 days.

The deceased was the wife of James Cochrun to whom she was united in marriage only a few months ago, October 11, 1888. Consumption fastened its hold upon her and took her on a rapid journey to the grave. Her maiden name was Dotson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Dotson who have resided for a long time in this county. She was a member of the South Keosauqua Christian church, living a life devoted to her Savior, loved by all her acquaintances who now sincerely mourn her early death. She leaves a husband, father and mother, brother and sister, but no family. Funeral services were held in the Christian church in Keosauqua, Eld. Hollett preaching and a large number of friends attending. Her body was laid to rest away in the Fellows cemetery near this place.
