MRS. HANNAH GARRETT.

Hannah Eaves, daughter of James and Susan Eaves, was born in Ohio, Nov. 26, 1876, and died at Keosauqua, Feb. 18, 1912, aged 94 years, 2 months and 23 days. In 1834 she was married to Osborne Plumly, the husband dying a few years later, leaving the wife with 3 children. Later she was married to David Garrett. To this union were born 2 sons. They moved from Ohio to Van Buren Co., Iowa, and located on a farm in Des Moines township until the husband died. For the past 6 years she made her home in Keosauqua with Mr. and Mrs. Francis Johnston. Three sons, four sisters and one brother survive. In early life Mrs. Garrett was a member of the Friends church, but later she united with the M.E. church and was a faithful member until her death. The funeral was held at Center Chapel Monday afternoon, services in charge of Rev. W.J. Fowler, the burial being in the Chapel cemetery.
