--Last Thursday the people of Ft. Madison were thrown into an intense state of excitement by the sensational suicide of Miss Etta Price, daughter of C.S. Price, a prominent resident of that city. "The young lady slept well Tuesday night and arose to go to work. She did not respond to a call and her mother found her in her room dead. She had taken a small quantity of prussic acid about 6 o'clock, causing instant death. For several years she had been an assistant in Dr. W.F. Murray's office and knew the effects of the poison well. She took the dose deliberately, knowing that it would cause immediate results. She was 25 years old and of handsome figure. She was a favorite in society and was engaged to a young man until several months ago, when the affair was broken off. Sensational rumors as to the cause of her rash act are afloat."
