ED THERO DEAD

A clipping from a Greely Co Republican was handed to us yesterday by Mrs. Lizzie Thero giving an account of the death of Ed Thero at his home in Kansas. His death was due to a stroke of paralysis. The clipping said, in part,

"Edward Thero was born in Farmington, Iowa, June 11, 1860, and passed away at his home, here in Tribune, July, 15, 1932, at the age of 72 years, 1 month and 4 days. He came to Greeley county in 1894, and endured the hardships incident to a pioneer life.

"On March 21, 1916, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Ada Hassman at Davenport, Iowa who survives him. Carl Thero of Tribune is his only child by a former marriage. There are two brothers Charles and Fred of Idaho Springs, Colo., and two sisters Mr. Hannah Lohr of Bartley, Nebr., and Mrs. Ella De Pew of Chicago, also surviving."

The deceased was an uncle of H. O. Thero, and was for many years a resident of Farmington. His surviving widow was prior to her first marriage, Ada Boyer, a daughter of Basil Boyer. In our early youth he was a school mate of the editor of the News-Republican.
