James Calfee

Funeral services for James Calfee, 61, were held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, in charge of Rev. J.L. Pickett of Keokuk at the rural Acasto community church, with burial in the church yard cemetery.

After three months of failing health Mr. Calfee died Wednesday, April 13, in Keokuk. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Calfee and was born at Acasto where he lived most of his life until mobbing to Keokuk about twenty years ago.

He is survived by his widow, two sons and five daughters, two daughters having preceded him in death. There are also several grandchildren and many more distant relatives. Mrs. Chas. Green and Mrs. Ethel Simmons of Farmington are sisters of Mrs. Calfee.
