Donna Lee Leathers, age 85 of Fairfield, passed away December 7, 2016, at Jefferson County Health Center.

Graveside service was December 13, 2016, at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Todd Holman officiating.

There vas no public visitation.

Donna was born July 23, 1931, in Van Wert, IA, to Aaron and Lela (Lipsett) Lenhart. She married William Leathers on October 15, 1950, at Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA. He passed away May 16, 2004.

Donna worked in the recorder’s office at the Medium Security Unit, Mt. Pleasant, IA. She was an avid Bible reader, loved gardening and baking. Donna had a smile for everybody and had a great sense of humor. She was a walking enthusiast at Sunnybrook. Donna looked forward to spending time with family and friends.

Donna is survived by her two sons, David Leathers of Richland, IA, and Jerry (Nancy) Leathers of Stockport, IA; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dolores Collins of Letts, IA.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Lela Lenhart; her husband William; one son, William Leathers Jr.; and one brother, John Lenhart.
