Peggy E. Ross, 63, of Osceola, IA, died February 3, 2016, at Southern Hills Care Center, Osceola. She was born August 5, 1952, in Fairfield to Murl A. and Elizabeth M. Gray Smith and married Harold Ross,

Peggy had lived for many years in the Douds area, and graduated from Van Buren High School. She moved to Kansas City, MO, and was employed by the Department of Defense until she retired.

Surviving are a sister, Beverly Schafer (Joe), an aunt, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Ross, her father Murl Smith, her mother Elizabeth Smith who died November 19, 2016, and nephew, James Schafer.

In accordance with her wishes her body has been cremated. A joint graveside service with her mother Betty Smith will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 28, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, east of Douds, Pastor Phil Ross officiating.

Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, is handling the arrangements.
