DIED.

In this city MR. F.F. ANDERSON, of congestion of the lungs, on Thursday, April 5th, aged 56 years.

Sleep on sweetly, dearest husband,
In thy lone and narrow bed;
O, how long since by they bedside
and ones whispered "He is dead!"
(???) on sweetly, dearest husband,
Kind companion, dearest friend,
With loved words thou'lt no more greet me.

Sleep on sweetly, dearest father,
Orphan children now are we!
When around our board we gather
There'll be a vacant place for thee.

Sleep on sweetly, dearest father
Though we're sad without thee here,
Yet we would not recall thee
Back to earth so dark and drear.

Sleep on sweetly, dearest brother
Well we know thy spirit rests
With our dear and sainted parents
In the regions of the blest.

Sleep on sweetly, happy christian
Would our lives like thine should be
Peaceful, useful; then when dying
Gladly welcome death, like thee,

Sleep, dear husband; sleep dear father,
Gentle brother, christian friend!
Soon we'll meet thy happy spirit,
Meet where partings have no end.
