-Glyde, the only child of Rev. Hiram Gilbert and wife, 21 months old last Easter day, died at the parental home in Mt. Pleasant, Thursday, April 6th, 1899. The little body was brought to Keosauqua and laid to rest in Purdom cemetery on Saturday, the 8th inst., after funeral services had been held at the home of A.B. Gilbert and wife, grand-parents of the deceased, which were conducted by Rev. Cooper, presiding elder. The father and mother of little Glyde have many friends here and in the county, whose sympathy will go to them in these their days of sorrow.
